It provides feedbacks and information about the writing to the author and the reader. One book that has been literary criticized is “Man’s search for meaning”, by Viktor E. Frankl. This book has been criticized because of Frankl believe on the meaning of life. Frankl once said “Don't aim at success--the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself.”(16). In other words he uses this quote to provide us with the knowledge that life has a meaning of its own and that success and happiness will come that is why you should never let go no matter how horrifying or painful the situation in your life is. That every person is responsible to find meaning in their life, it all depend on how they wish to see it as. Frank was criticized because many disagree with the fact that if you want something you go for it and Frankl believes that it will eventually come. The criticism in this book allow us to see beyond the point of Frankl believe and it grabs the reader attention and it entertain them on what to believe and see how far Frankl went to find the meaning of life.
